Too Cold for Me

Scott began training for and competing in triathlons last summer. He has planned to do 3 or 4 this summer and Sunday was the first one for this year. The triathlon was scheduled for 8:00 am on Sunday morning at Buffalo Springs Lake in Lubbock. For those of you from Texas, you know the weather can change in a matter of minutes. It was in the 90's on Thursday afternoon, but Friday brought a West Texas cold front and some much needed rain. It rained most of the day on Saturday and was cold (50-60). Sunday morning when we arrived at the lake, the water temperature was 61 and the air temperature was 39. CRAZY. Despite the cold, there were plenty of people willing to brave the water and compete in the triathlon. Scott finished first in his age division. We are so proud of him!!!
